The Familiar Stranger

The look in those seductive brown eyes said more than words could ever have. He sauntered over from his table to where I was sitting. He didn’t utter a word; he just sat down in the chair next to me, and I sensed something familiar about him. I picked up my glass of sparkling water and took a slow sip, knowing he was watching my every move. I peered at him over the top of the glass and saw the slight smile on his face. I knew he realized I was toying with him, but he didn’t seem to mind as his smile grew. He moved closer, and I caught a whiff of his sensual smell before he placed his arm on the back of my chair. His cologne enchanted me as his fingers slowly started moving my hair to the other side of my neck. I let out a silent sigh, and our eyes met, and there seemed to be an unspoken knowing between the two of us. I laid my hand on the table, and he quickly found it and took it into his before leaning closer and began gently brushing kisses on the side of my neck. Paco Rabanne was all I could smell or comprehend because everything was swirling in a lustful fantasy. The kisses stopped, and his eyes met mine. I was under his spell, and he knew it, for next, I was kissing his lips with all the desire I had in my soul. Slowly, our lips parted, and his hand caressed my cheek ever so lightly. I smiled, and he backed away and stood before he gently took my hand.

He helped me with my coat and purse and paid our checks. Exiting the restaurant into the frigid December air made me shiver as I watched him as he hailed a taxi. He ushered me in, and we had barely moved when we kissed again. I opened my eyes as I felt we were being watched and glimpsed the taxi driver spying on us and smiling. I pulled away as if regaining all of my senses he had taken away. He looked at me puzzled, and I saw the driver in the mirror once again smirking. I felt his hand on my thigh and glanced out of the window. My inner thoughts kept saying; ‘This is a man you have wanted since you first saw him.’ The taxi picked up speed and rushed through the streets of New York. I felt his lips on my neck again and thought about how long I had wanted this man, but now that I had it, I wasn’t sure. I didn’t want to be another notch on his belt. I wanted to claim him as my own, for I knew that once our souls connected, I would never find another to satisfy it. The taxi stopped, and so did he. We were at the Plaza. The doormen helped me exit the cab as he paid the driver. We hadn’t uttered a word all night. We didn’t need to. There was an unspoken connection the two of us shared, and it was as if the two of us had done this dance before, maybe possibly in a different life.

We walked into the elevator, and he pressed the button for the 15th floor. The elevator ride was interesting, to say the least, with our lips meeting and our arms embracing each other. The elevator doors opened, and he led me to his door. He put the card in the lock and turned the handle. We walked in, and he gently closed the door. He took my purse and coat and led me to the bed and motioned me to lie down. Lying on the bed, I smelled his presence on me. He lowered the lights and took off his coat and suit jacket, then joined me on the bed. His hand caressed my face, then he said to me; “You are so beautiful. I want to possess your body and soul.” He brushed my hair, and I thought for a moment he must tell everyone this line, but as I looked into his eyes, I felt in my heart that he was telling me the truth. His lips met mine before he whispered; “My beautiful lady, I love you, this night and for eternity.” My heart melted as the words left his lips, and I smiled up at him. He stared down at me with desire in his eyes as he began to slowly undress me. I reached up and caressed his cheek and let my hand move down to his shirt. He took my hand in his and began to kiss my fingers. I pulled our hands away from his mouth and brought his hand to my mouth and started sucking his fingers, one at a time. I could see the lust in his eyes building as the cherisher cat grin formed on his face.

He pulled his hand away and kissed me deeply as I took his shirt off. He moved away, and I felt his hand slowly move up my stocking-clad leg, then to my hip and to the tip of my nose. I touched his cheek, and he said; “I have waited for this moment for so long.” His lips met mine, and the alarm clock startled me awake. I reached over and turned it off and rolled back over to see…the empty bed next to me and our picture on the nightstand.
